Choose Your Crest
Adopt one, build one for your line, paint your own, or write the blazon.
29 crests, each new, each drawn by the herald’s rules in the Greek-letter tradition: the lamp, the owl, the torch, the laurel. None belongs to any fraternity or sorority. Choose one and it is your line’s to change.
A purple shield with a silver book and a gold band across the top carrying a purple star. Motto: ΣΟΦΙΑΝ ΖΗΛΟΥ, “Strive for wisdom”.
The mullet: traditionally said to mean a divine gift: shining in virtue, learning and piety (Guillim, 1679). The martlet: traditionally said to mean younger sons, who rise by merit, having no land to stand on (Guillim, 1679).
